Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, at Stavanger) is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has been praised by the music press and bloggers. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers the artist has done. Katy Perry shared a tweet where Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano that was in her basement and being fascinated at the sound it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not for work or for a passion however, as a chance to improve. In the end, she began writing her own music. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as being her influences. Responding to her mother's suggestions that she ought not to aim at achieving fame through their songwriting skills, she instead recognize the significance of their lives and their impact on society. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and was writing her first song when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached 14. It was never a dream to be Aurora. She just loves to write songs. According to her music, is the most effective method of expressing anything.
